Spotlight on Missions

Tyler & Emily (Rice) Brantley • South America

“Emily and I were recently approved to be missionaries to South America by the Missions Advisory Committee of the BMA, pending election at the national association meeting in April,” said Bro. Tyler.

“Our goal country is northern Argentina, but we may serve under other missionaries in other Latin American countries before we go there,” added Emily. “We currently only have a small work in Argentina. The BMA of Bolivia planted a church in a village in north Argentina several years ago.”

“For the past several months, we have been feeling the Lord’s call on our lives to go to this region to spread the gospel of Christ,” said Tyler. “We have been praying and preparing for this since last July. We have gone through an intense application and assessment process and are so excited about what the Lord has in store for us.

“For the next year, we will be seeking churches and individuals to partner with us and our mission of fulfilling the Great Commission, then we will be leaving for language school in Costa Rica. We ask for your prayers as we prepare physically, spiritually and financially to embark on this journey.

“If you would like to partner with us, contact me at or (870) 312-6596; or Emily at or (214) 458-5663. And again, thank you for your prayers and encouragement.”

Emily is the daughter of BMA Services Production Team Leader Phillip Rice and BMA of America Short Term Missions Coordinator Angela Rice. Tyler is the son of Angela Brantley, who serves at Central Baptist College in Student Accounts Receivable, and Chris Brantley of Junction City.
